RODNEY STUCKEY

Rodney Stuckey is the founder and head coach of the Stuckey United programs. Rodney is a Kent, WA local where he won a championship title while attending Kentwood High School. Rodney went on to play Division 1 basketball at Eastern Washington University. At EWU, Rodney scored over 1400 points by the end of his sophomore season and was eventually drafted 15th overall pick in 2007 by the Detroit Pistons. Rodney played 10 years in the NBA with the Detroit Pistons and finished his career with the Indiana Pacers. Rodney’s love for the game has inspired him to mentor many young athletes.

MARCUS HINTON

Marcus Hinton is also a cofounder of Stuckey United. Marcus began his basketball career at Wilson High School in Tacoma, WA; where he quickly became a standout player. He earned first team all-league honors for two consecutive years and finished in the top three in scoring during his junior and senior years. Following high school, Marcus played at Centralia College for two years. There, he led the league in scoring 23 points per game and earned first team all league honors. Marcus was inducted into the Centralia College Sports Hall of Fame in 2020. He earned a scholarship to continue his academic and athletic career at Eastern Washington University joining his long time friend, Rodney Stuckey. There, Marcus broke a record and in addition to his athletic achievements graduated with a Bachelor degree in Communications.

Marcus is passionate about sharing his love for basketball with younger players and helping to mold athletes that are new to the game. Believing that basketball is a powerful tool for personal growth, Marcus is committed to helping kids improve their skills and achieve their goals both on the court and in life.
